Terms of use

These terms are short on purpose. The product is free, runs in your browser, and collects no personal data. The terms reflect that.

The deal

katlab.cv is provided free of charge, with no account required. You can use it for personal or commercial purposes — to build your own CV, to help a friend, or as part of a professional service you offer to others. There is no usage limit and no licence to purchase.

Your documents

The CVs, cover letters, and other documents you produce belong entirely to you. We do not claim any ownership, licence, or right to your content. Because the site has no backend, we never even see your content unless you choose to share a link with us.

No warranty

The product is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We try to keep the templates ATS-friendly and the PDF output stable across browsers, but we cannot guarantee that any specific applicant tracking system will accept any specific document, nor that the site will be available without interruption.

Always proofread the PDF you generate before sending it to a recruiter. Always keep a backup JSON file — your draft is held only in your browser tab and will be lost if the tab closes.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to harass others, to misrepresent yourself or someone else fraudulently, or to infringe on copyrights or trademarks. Do not attempt to attack the hosting infrastructure or the source repository.

Source code

The project is currently maintained as a private repository. The maintainers may make portions of the code available under a permissive licence in the future; until then, no public licence is granted to copy, redistribute, or create derivative works of the source code.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that materially affects users, we will note it on this page. Last updated 2026-05-08.
